Miss Q - Christina Bauhn

I'm currently based in the south of Sweden where I mostly make surrealistic-abstract paintings. All my work is made in a meditative state where the ending always is unpredictable. I sometimes paint over and over in an almost existential search for the final result. This is the same technique I use for basically any of my art in any medium.

I've had my art (miniature sculpture) selected by Author Neil Gaiman (Stardust, Sandman, Coraline, American Gods) for the international competition "A calendar of Tales" homepage,  my drawings can be seen featured as background in the horror film "Son" (2021) starring Andi Matichak (Halloween) and Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, Once Upon a time in Hollywood). 

My education is from multiple educations at different universities in Sweden in everything from media, architecture to psychology. Last but not least I studied at the art school "Österlenskolan för konst och design" in Simrishamn. There I had my art exhibited in multiple group-art exhibitions at among others: Tjörnedala Konsthall (Baskemölla), Rostrum (Malmö) and Ystad Konsthall.

As I'm working in different mediums (Photo, drawing, painting, sculpture, film etc) I've also taken photos for "Metaforbrottning" (a poetry slam-wrestling stage performance) which has been published for the organisation in multiple newspapers/magazines all over Sweden.
